Omega-3 Vegan EPA (100 ml) consists of a unique combination: a plant-based, high-dose algal oil and cold-pressed olive oil from certified organic farming with a high polyphenol content. A daily dosage (5 ml/1 tsp) provides you with 2,000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids. This daily dosage has proven effective for regulating the body's omega-3 levels, as confirmed by omega-3 index measurements using fatty acid analysis.
The algal oil is rich in EPA as well as the fatty acid DHA. This makes it an optimal vegan omega-3 source for anyone wishing to follow a diet free of animal products.
Omega-3 VEGAN EPA is the first algal oil with extra EPA. EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) is an essential omega-3 fatty acid that the body cannot produce itself and therefore must be obtained through diet. EPA is an important building block for certain endogenous metabolic products, such as eicosanoids. Eicosanoids play a central role in various metabolic processes and can, among other things, have an anti-inflammatory effect.
NORSAN Algal Oil is extracted from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp. This type of algae consists of microscopic single-celled organisms. It is particularly rich in the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA and feeds exclusively on organic and plant-based substances, such as decaying leaves. With an especially high content of 1,104 mg of EPA per daily dose of 1 teaspoon (5 ml), NORSAN Omega-3 VEGAN EPA is an ideal addition to the vegan product range.
Organic olive oil with a high polyphenol content: Omega-3 Vegan EPA oil contains one-fifth organic, cold-pressed olive oil rich in polyphenols (>250 mg/kg). Omega-3 fatty acids are particularly sensitive and must therefore be protected both before consumption and within the body. The olive oil's exceptionally high polyphenol content protects the sensitive omega-3 fatty acids from oxidation.

Directions
The recommended daily dosage is 5 ml, which corresponds to 1 teaspoon. One bottle contains 100 ml. With normal consumption, one bottle will therefore last for approx. 20 days. The stated recommended daily intake must not be exceeded, unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, therapist, or pharmacist. The dosage can be easily measured using the enclosed measuring cup. Different intake recommendations currently apply to pregnant and breastfeeding women; in accordance with legal regulations, this is 450 mg of EPA/DHA daily (or 1 ml per day).
