Omega-3 Total (200 ml) is a unique combination of a natural fish oil with a high EPA content and cold-pressed organic olive oil with a high polyphenol content. One daily dose (8 ml / 1 tablespoon) provides 2,000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA).
The recommended dose of 2 g of omega-3 has proven effective in regulating insufficient omega-3 levels in the body, which can be detected by measuring the omega-3 index.
NORSAN FISH OIL
The fish oil in our Omega-3 Total comes from sustainable wild catch and is extracted from whole fish, not as a byproduct. For an optimal EPA to DHA ratio of 2:1, we carefully select a combination of small fatty fish (sardines, mackerel, and anchovies) – all of which are rich in omega-3, especially EPA.
Fishing is carried out according to strict guidelines for sustainable fishing and is certified by the well-known "Friend of the Sea" seal. The fish oil is purified from pollutants and PCBs and controlled according to strict regulations.
No Concentrate – All Natural
During the extraction and purification of Omega-3 Total oil, the natural fatty acid structure of the fish is preserved. Our natural fish oil consists of such a fatty acid complex of over 50 fatty acids, as found in fish, and has not been artificially concentrated – as is the case with fish oil concentrates.
The difference between a natural fish oil and a concentrate is that, in concentrates, the natural fatty acid structure of the fish oil is altered through various chemical processes to artificially increase the concentration of omega-3 fatty acids.
Our oceans are increasingly burdened and polluted with pollutants and heavy metals. For this reason, it is necessary to carefully clean raw natural fish oil and free it from potential pollutants. The effect of taking our natural fish oil is similar to the effect of consuming fish, but without the pollutants.
Unique 3-Stage Purification with Microdistillation
For this purification, we use a modern facility that uniquely filters and purifies the oil from heavy metals, pollutants, and PCBs. At the same time, the valuable properties of the natural fish oil are preserved. The special refining process is based on an effective and unique 3-stage purification – while conventional industrial processes only rely on a two-step purification, we also perform a special and unique purification with micro-distillation in a 3rd step, which precisely filters out remaining pollutants. This allows us to offer the best and cleanest quality.
For NORSAN Total fish oil, an oxygen-free processing environment is guaranteed, so our oil is optimally protected against oxidation. Oxidation causes fish odor and has an unpleasant effect on taste. The TOTOX value – oxidation value or "freshness" value of the oil (the lower, the fresher) – is in the low range of approx. 10, which confirms the high freshness of the oil.
OMEGA-3 TOTAL OIL: THE ROOTS OF NORSAN
NORSAN's journey into the world of omega-3 supplementation began with Omega-3 Total. This classic product was developed for optimal regulation of omega-3 supply. From a nutritional medicine perspective, its composition offers the optimal package: an EPA-rich, natural and purified fish oil, polyphenols from a cold-pressed, organically grown olive oil, and a daily portion of vitamin D3. In the capsule product, olive oil is replaced by rosemary extract.
On average, 9 out of 10 people have an omega-3 deficiency. NORSAN Omega-3 Total oil provides a daily dose of 2,000 mg of omega-3, which is sufficient to compensate for an omega-3 deficiency. Omega-3 Total oil has been shown to have a positive and significant effect on the HS-Omega-3 Index®.
VALUABLE COMBINATION: OLIVE OIL + FISH OIL
The special combination of an omega-3-rich fish oil and a polyphenol-rich olive oil has proven to be a valuable symbiosis.
During the purification process, many important secondary nutrients are lost, including natural antioxidant compounds. In a scientific study at the University of Tromsø, Prof. Bjarne Østerrud showed that the anti-inflammatory effect of fish oil in combination with a polyphenol-rich olive oil has a positive effect on the blood.
Researchers suspect that the polyphenols in olive oil protect the sensitive omega-3 fatty acids in the body from oxygen molecules and free radicals. The polyphenols appear to act as a buffer and neutralize attackers through their antioxidant effect. In this way, the omega-3 fatty acids reach their site of action unharmed and can perform their (anti-inflammatory) work there.
ORGANIC OLIVE OIL AS AN ANTIOXIDANT
Our Omega-3 Total contains 1/5 organic cold-pressed olive oil rich in polyphenols (>250 mg/kg). The exact content is specified in the laboratory analysis.
Omega-3 fatty acids are particularly "sensitive" and must therefore be protected both before consumption and within the body. The particularly high polyphenol content of olive oil protects the sensitive omega-3 fatty acids from oxidation. Characteristic of a polyphenol-rich olive oil is that you feel a slight scratching sensation in your throat when consumed. The olives are supplied by Rafael, our olive farmer, who works according to organic guidelines. We regularly visit Rafael at his olive grove in Spain.
Pleasant Taste
The quality of the raw materials and the unique refinement of the fish oil give NORSAN Omega-3 Total its pleasant taste. A few drops of natural lemon oil provide an additional lemon note (product also available without lemon oil as Naturell).

Easy Everyday Use
Thanks to its pleasant taste and liquid form, our Omega-3 Total oil can be easily integrated into daily life. Whether as an ingredient in salad dressing, stirred into a smoothie, or as a topping on delicious breakfast porridge – there are no limits to creativity and your taste. However, the oil should not be heated, as this would destroy the fatty acid structure.
Our omega-3 oils can also be taken easily and conveniently on their own. When taking our oils and capsules, it is only important that they are taken with a meal, as this ensures optimal fatty acid utilization. The advantage of our products is that freshness and quality can be directly checked with your own senses: from the bottle directly onto a spoon, simply smell it, taste it, and gradually integrate omega-3 into your daily routine.

Take 8 ml (approx. 1 tablespoon) daily, ideally with or directly after a meal. Shake bottle briefly before use. At the recommended dose, the bottle is sufficient for 25 days. Do not heat. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.
