What is Resveratrol?
Resveratrol is a naturally occurring compound belonging to the group of polyphenols. It is produced by some plants in response to stress, injury, fungal infection, or UV radiation and is found in grapes, berries, peanuts, and red wine. With dozens of publications and clinical studies, resveratrol is considered one of the most thoroughly researched molecules used as a dietary supplement.
Function
Resveratrol acts as a phytoalexin in plants, meaning it is produced as a defense mechanism against environmental stresses. In the food industry, resveratrol is used as an ingredient in some dietary supplements and cosmetics.
Purity & Production
The Veri-te™ Resveratrol used is approved in the EU as a novel food and is obtained through innovative yeast fermentation. No genetically modified microorganisms are detectable in the pure substance. "Trans" refers to the structural form (trans-isomer); the remaining less than 2% are degradation products or the cis-isomer form.
Ingredients
Trans-Resveratrol (98%, Veri-te™), Capsule: Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC)

We recommend a daily intake of 500 mg trans-resveratrol. Simply take one capsule with a meal. Resveratrol is fat-soluble – taking it with a spoon of vegetable oil or in yogurt, or in the morning before a meal, improves its bioavailability.
