Red light with a wavelength of 625-630 nm is similar to fire or candlelight and is 100% free of blue spectral light. Red light emits only a sleep-friendly, red hue that reduces eye strain and helps the body maintain a natural circadian rhythm. Amber light has 1600 Kelvin. Red or amber light, like candlelight, contains extremely low amounts of blue spectral light. The problem with blue spectral light is that it is particularly effective in signaling to wake up, be alert and stay awake. In the evening, especially after sunset, we should limit our exposure to blue light.
