What is Berberine?
Berberine is a plant compound that naturally occurs in various plant species such as Berberis aristata. Due to its biological potential, berberine is one of the best-known plant compounds in the context of longevity and metabolic health.
The BERBERSOME capsules contain a microencapsulated berberine-cyclodextrin complex based on OPTISOLV® technology. Here, berberine is combined with gamma-cyclodextrin and sunflower lecithin to specifically support properties such as solubility and formulability. The improved bioavailability makes it possible to achieve absorption with just 330 mg of berberine per serving, which computationally corresponds to about 4.5 g of conventional berberine. The formula is supplemented with zinc and chromium.
Function
Berberine has been scientifically studied for years in connection with metabolic processes and cellular signaling pathways. We recommend taking 2 capsules of Berbersome daily. To optimize blood sugar levels, Berbersome should be taken 15-30 minutes before a carbohydrate-rich meal.
